Choose a Traditional Battle when you want challengers to select their songs. Choose AI Curated when you want Vibe Village to select songs for the artists you choose.
Then bring your Family Circle into the experience and let the music settle the argument.
Choose How You Battle
AI-Curated Battles
Want the matchup built for you? Choose the artists, number of rounds, and battle settings, then let Vibe Village select songs for the artists you choose. AI Curated Battles can be played with another challenger or in Solo Mode. Solo Mode is exclusive to AI Curated Battles and lets you send the SharePlay invitation to yourself so you can experience the battle without a second challenger.
Traditional Battles
Prefer to control the music yourself? Traditional Battles put song selection in the hands of two challengers. Each challenger chooses the songs they want to compete with and assigns them to rounds before the battle begins.
Traditional Battles offer two Voting Styles. Head to Head lets both challengers see each other’s song selections while preparing the battle, allowing each challenger to better match songs for individual rounds. Song by Song keeps each challenger’s selections hidden from the other until the battle unfolds.
Regardless of Voting Style, challengers can also scrub through their selected songs and choose the section they want showcased during the battle.
Spectator Voting
Spectators are part of the battle. They vote in real time, follow the score, react to each round, and help determine which challenger comes out on top.
Play Together with SharePlay
Messages
When the battle owner joins using SharePlay in Messages, Vibe Village automatically sends SharePlay invitations to the selected players. Invited players tap Join (and Open if prompted), and Vibe Village takes them directly into the active battle.
FaceTime
During an active FaceTime call, invited players can choose More (…) → SharePlay → Vibe Village. They can also open Vibe Village directly while remaining on the FaceTime call. Vibe Village takes them directly into the active battle.
Invite Only
Only players invited by the battle owner can participate.
More Than the Matchup
The Battle Feed extends the experience beyond a single matchup so you can discover active competition and follow what is happening across Vibe Village. Trivia Between Rounds
Music trivia gives players and spectators another way to participate between songs and rounds, turning downtime into part of the game.
Real-Time Chat & Reactions
Talk while the battle unfolds. Friends, challengers, and spectators can react to picks, celebrate wins, debate the songs, and keep the competition social.
Joining a Traditional Battle
How do I join through Messages?
Tap Join on the SharePlay invitation Vibe Village sends when the battle owner joins using SharePlay in Messages. Tap Open if iOS asks you to open Vibe Village. The app takes you directly into the battle.
How do I join during FaceTime?
During the FaceTime call, choose More (…) → SharePlay → Vibe Village. You can also open Vibe Village directly while staying on the call. The app takes you directly into the active battle.
Who can join, and what if I get disconnected?
Only players invited by the battle owner can participate. When using Messages, the SharePlay invitation must be accepted before the player can enter.
If you get disconnected, rejoin the SharePlay session and open Vibe Village again. Vibe Village returns you directly to the active battle so you can continue where you left off.
