Premium capabilities remain available when you want more from the experience. Some AI powered capabilities and other enhanced features may require an in-app purchase or eligible subscription.

Room Audio
What should a shared listening experience look like when some people are together and others are miles away?
With Vibe Village, it does not have to be one or the other.
Room Audio lets one device provide the music for participants who are together in the same physical space. Everyone in the room can still join the Listening Session from their own device, participate in music choices, chat, play trivia, react with the group, and follow the shared experience without each person needing an Apple Music subscription.
Remote participants can join the same Listening Session from wherever they are. That creates a hybrid experience where one group may be sharing Room Audio while other participants are connected remotely.

What Happens Around the Music
Listening Sessions are designed around participation, interaction, trivia, music choices, and the moments that happen between the people listening.
The playlist is only part of the experience.
Interactive Trivia
Music trivia can give everyone another reason to participate between songs and turn the listening experience into something the group plays together.
Built-In Social Interaction
The real-time Chat window gives people in the session a place to share reactions, exchange music recommendations, and keep the conversation moving while everyone listens together.
Shared Listening. Different Experiences.
Apple Music SharePlay makes collaborative music playback possible across Apple devices. Vibe Village builds another layer of participation around that music.
In a Vibe Village Listening Session, the host does not have to be the only person providing music. Participants can contribute music too.
Room Audio adds another option for people sharing the same physical space. One device can provide the room's music while the people around it remain connected to the same Listening Session from their own devices without each needing an Apple Music subscription.
Remote participants can join that same session from elsewhere, so a Listening Session can be entirely in person, entirely remote, or hybrid.
Coming with Vibe Village 2.0 in October 2026. Listening Sessions bring friends and family into one experience whether they are sitting together or joining from halfway around the world. In supported sessions, SharePlay can work alongside FaceTime or Messages so people can keep the conversation going while they react to the music and play trivia together.
